Fair Prospect High School in Portland, Jamaica, began as Fair Prospect Secondary School in September 1970 and has provided educational services for 55 years as of 2025.
The school’s history includes a name change and various celebratory events marking its milestone anniversaries. It was formerly called the Fair Prospect Secondary School. As of 2025, the school was celebrating its 55th anniversary, indicating continuous operation and growth for over three decades.
A range of celebratory activities were planned, including an open day, symposium, evening of excellence, awards banquet, and anniversary magazine, to mark the occasion.

In the past five years, Fair Prospect High School celebrated a historic football victory and received a donation of a computer lab from the US charity RCM. The football team won its first DaCosta Cup match of the season against Morant Bay High School. Separately, the school was the recipient of a new computer lab, thanks to the generous contribution from the RCM charity.
